Definition of Hypoglycemia 

Hypoglycemia means decrease blood sugar concentration under normal values 

Causes 

1 - Hyper-insulinemia  due to : 
a- Functional beta cells tumors 
b - Insulin over doses in the treatment of diabetes mellitus 

2 - Glycogen storage disease in which glycogen accumulates in the liver due to deficiency of glucose -6 -phosphatase . 

3 - Adrenocotical insufficiency . 
4 - Hypothyroidism 
5 - Starvation 
6 - Mal-absorption
7 - Hepatic disease due to circulatory deficiency or    cirrhosis . 
8 - Polycythemia 
9 - Glycogen deficiency 
10 - Hypopituitarism
11 - postgastroectomy

Signs 

1 - Extreme 
2 - Convulsion 
3 - Coma
