Laboratory investigation which required to diagnose coronavirus ( COVID-19)

There are many tests can used for early diagnosis of corona virus COVID-19 so the following tests can be performed :

1 - Perform a complete blood count called CBC,and some tests for immunity

if the doctor finds out about the results of the tests

lymphopenia is a decrease in the number of immune lymphocytes and it is less than normal.

2- Analysis of ESR , C reactive protein (CRP) and another IL speed.

3- IL1, IL6, IL10 which is interleukin.

4- Ferritin.

5- TNF- known as inflammatory mediators.

6 - Liver enzymes ( ALT , AST )

7- troponin and D-Dimer especially for patients with heart diseases .

8 - Real time PCR for confirmation .

All types of liver inflammation can cause raised ALT. • AST - (aspartate aminotransferase) which was previously called SGOT. This is a mitochondrial enzyme that is also present in heart, muscle, kidney and brain therefore it is less specific
